It refers to optimising individual web pages or specific targeted landing pages of a website to achieve first-page rankings on the local searches on search engines. Businesses that offer products or services in specific local areas—generally within a radius of 5 to 15 kilometres—use Local SEO to enhance their visibility in local search results.
The main objective of a Local SEO campaign is to generate more service-enquiry calls from the locally targeted audience or to increase footfall at the physical store.
Another way to improve a business’s visibility in local searches is through Google Business Profile, also known as Google Maps Listing, which appears in the “Pack of 3” in the Google search results for local queries.
